Waytes and Measures

Are a colourful and talented group of musicians and singers from Gloucestershire, who play and sing medieval and early Tudor music on period instruments in costume. Waytes and Measures have performed with great success at castles, abbeys, churches and re-enactments.

The historic church of St Mary de Crypt in Gloucester has a wonderful set of roof bosses which show angels playing musical instuments of the 16^th century. On 10 September Waytes and Measures will be talking about these and bringing them to life by playing the period instruments depicted in St Mary de Crypt and other local churches.
